Senior Network Engineer
Delt Shared Service's Infrastructure team are part of a fast paced, dynamic ICT Team servicing approximately 8,500 user spread across multiple sites around the Devon. We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable Senior Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in our Plymouth office, on a 12 month Fixed Term contract. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing Network related issues as well as expanding the Network Infrastructure and where applicable re-configuring networking equipment based on provided specification. Technical Experience You will need to have a deep understanding and knowledge of the following technologies: - Network provisioning/Addressing (IPv4) - Network troubleshooting and design - Routing / switching / IP Addressing - Wifi ( Cisco / Aruba ) - Web Proxy technologies - DNS / DHCP - Network Security - VPNs ( IPSec, site-to-site, remote access) - Telephony, voice protocols, voice gateways, call centre platforms - Significant experience of working with Cisco switching and routing in a commercial environment. - Significant experience of managing firewalls in a commercial environment. ( Checkpoint or Cisco ASA desirable ) - Experience of supporting F5 BIG IP Load Balancers (LTM / APM) - Authoring detailed technical design documentation In additional to these technical skills you will need to be able to: - Lead on Infrastructure related projects - Mentor other staff and share network related knowledge to other technical disciplines - Think creatively to offer new and flexible solutions to our growing customer base Personal Attributes You'll be able to show initiative and the acumen to learn quickly. You'll be working in an energetic, fast paced environment with early responsibility. You will be interacting with our customers, suppliers, contractors, team members, and senior management and therefore excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines and flexible hours are essential.
