The Field Care Supervisor is the first person usually that a family and their loved one will meet, so it is important that this person is a good listener who is caring and helpful. If you are looking for a role where you can help people, have a high level of job satisfaction and work within one of the best teams, providing the highest quality of care services, then look no further because Prestige Plymouth is where you need to be Working under the direction of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager, implement systems to ensure that a domiciliary care service in our Plymouth branch is delivered meeting and exceeding legislative standards, and in accordance with company equal opportunities and health & safety policy. This involves the following major responsibilities: To undertake detailed and thorough domiciliary care risk and manual handling assessments on new clients/service users To manage your own time, carrying out reviews on risk assessments as per legislative requirements and/or when changes are necessary. To manage and maintain compliance in this aspect at all times. Supporting Homecare members, carrying out supervisions and arranging member meetings when appropriate To maintain an effective system in consultation with the Homecare Co-ordinator and Branch Manager for quality assurance management. To assist the Homecare Co-ordinator and Branch Manager with the delivery of a care worker development and training programme To assist the Homecare Co-ordinator and Branch Manager within a recruitment programme To participate in an on-call roster - one evening per week and one weekend per month To meet weekly compliance targets agreed with the Homecare Co-ordinator and Branch Manager To work with the office team, covering bookings as required and general admin duties. To liaise with the Multi Disciplinary team in assisting clients with any referrals as necessary - to also keep staff members safe in their roles. The Field Care Supervisor should have the following key characteristics Experience of supervising/ managing others Articulate with the ability to put across ideas succinctly and clearly (good communication skills) Excellent assessment skills Ability to work on own initiative - self starter, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively. Good team player Attention to detail Willingness to embrace change Education Essential - NVQ3 Care or above Good basic education The Field Care Supervisor will have some previous experience or knowledge of the healthcare market working within a Care setting - minimum of two years Desirable - Risk Assessment qualification D32 D33 NVQ Assessor The successful candidate will be flexible and hold a full UK Driving Licence. Hours may vary but will be 20 per week to start, rising to 25-30 per week after the first month. Hours are flexible and to be discussed at interview.
