Sous - Opportunity Our client is a highly regarded independent restaurant in a fabulous spot close to Falmouth. They are seeking a highly organised and capable Sous Chef with excellent skills and a broad food knowledge to help lead and enhance the kitchen team. You will take responsibility for training and mentoring junior chefs, supporting Head in running service and ensuring the highest standards of food quality are maintained at all times in a thriving high end local dining operation. This is a role providing excellent prospects for a skilled, highly organised and motivated chef within a progressive and dynamic independent business. You as a key part of the team of 4 will prepare and cook an extensive and varied menu using fresh local produce to provide our guests with a dining experience of the highest quality. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of menus and a chance to showcase your creativity. You will provide the passion, drive and commitment to organize, and control service deputising for Head while maintaining consistent quality. You will operate according to high standards and follow all standard kitchen routines. You will monitor and control hygiene, stock and kitchen safety. Previous experience in a similar role including menu development is essential along with a current food safety qualification.
