Seasonal Commis Chef- Rick Stein's Cafe

Are you planning your summer in Cornwall? We're looking for passionate people to join us for the summer season. With beaches just around the corner and our restaurants bustling with hungry visitors, we could have the perfect seasonal opportunity for you!

As a Commis Chef you will support the kitchen team with food preparation and ensure your work is to the highest standard at all times. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills whilst working with us at our Cafe. We have a full time seasonal opportunity available until October, with the potential to work through the winter too.

Rick Stein's Cafe was opened in 1994 by Rick Stein and Jill Stein. Guests can enjoy a mid-morning treat with homemade cakes and freshly ground coffee. Our Cafe also offers lunch and dinner options with influences from afar including dishes such as pad Thai noodles, salt and pepper prawns and cod curry. Our Cafe has a small kitchen team and is perfectly located on Middle Street of Padstow.

Responsibilities as a Commis Chef:

* Preparing food and working with quality ingredients.
* Developing your understanding of the food being served by taking part in tastings.
* Learning about stock rotation and rotating stock as required.
* Working effectively with a team of chefs.
* Working with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to monitor stock levels.
* Continually pushing to improve your knowledge and skills.
