The Position

We are looking to recruit a Nursery Manager to come and lead the team in the Retallack Kids club. The Nursery Manager will be in charge of the kids club and responsible for the day to day operational elements of the kids club, creating a caring and simulating environment that promotes learning through play.

Nursery Manager Responsibilities
  • Assist in the recruiting of staff for the kids club
  • Ability to build positive relationships with parents and children
  • Leading a team of staff with delegation and by maintaining their appraisals and assessments
  • Implement and reinforce the company policies, procedures and processes
  • Providing parents with information, support and communication that is required
    Managing the smooth running of the nursery
  • Office based duties including finances, budget control and parent enquiries
  • To manage and oversee the day to day running of the nursery, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children that attend
  • Undertake any reasonable duties requested by management
The Person
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Health & Safety legislation
  • Previous management experience within a childcare setting is essential
  • A minimum qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare qualification at level 3 or above
  • Excellent communicator at all levels (written and verbal)
  • Experience within a similar environment is essential
  • Previous experience of working in a childcare setting and knowledge of current childcare legislation
  • Experience working with Ofsted is essential
